Michael and Bela: UCLA Graduation Portraits + Couples' Session
Celebrating Graduation at UCLA with your special someone
Because of remote learning, Michael was not able to spend his senior year on campus at UCLA. When he returned to UCLA for commencement, we made sure to document everything that made Michael’s time at UCLA memorable. This included dogs, a surprise visit from a friend, sunset, and of course, some quality time together with his fiancee!
Kerckhoff Hall
We started off at Kerckhoff Hall. This spot is right next to the Bruin Bear, making it a perfect place to start your grad session.
Bruinwalk
Every UCLA student walks through Bruinwalk at least once per day to get to their classes. Since Michael’s commencement was earlier this day, Bruinwalk was a perfect location to walk down one last time with his commencement regalia. In the afternoon, the setting sun provides beautiful golden backlight for portraits.
Royce Hall
Royce Hall towers over the northern half of UCLA and is surrounded by a large open grassy quad and smaller brick buildings. The arches, doors, and walkway of Royce Hall is iconic and taking graduation photos here is essential for every UCLA graduate.
Couple’s Session
Because of the pandemic, Michael and Bela traveled to UCLA from out of town to celebrate Michael’s graduation. What better way to commemorate your relationship than a fun couples’ session at the place you met each other?
Congratulations again, Michael!
This is a quintessential example of a college grad taking UCLA graduation photos on campus. Be sure to sure to check out other recent graduates’ photo sessions and my full graduation portraits gallery for more samples of my work.
